AboutWelcome to my Website. I would like to start a discussion about the place of Handwriting in our schools. In recent times there has been a push towards technology tuition, at the expense of more practical skills, like Handwriting. I think pencils and pens are going to be around for a long time yet, and our children need to be proficient in this skill. Handwriting skills are part of their Heritage.
I look forward to positive feedback about your school and the approach the teachers take to Handwriting.
Does your school progress through to Cursive handwriting for all students?
Does your school insist students take real pride in their written work?
I think the article I have posted from Cheryl Lowe Memoria Press “puts it in a nutshell” and is very worthwhile reading.
